How Katie's Sparkle & Shine Cleaning handles your personal information when you contact us, request a quote or use our services.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

1. Who we are

Katie's Sparkle & Shine Cleaning is operated by Katie Easter (formerly Katie Davey), a sole trader providing cleaning, Airbnb changeover, laundry and linen hire services in Bath, Bristol, Keynsham and surrounding areas.

Katie Easter is the data controller for personal information handled by the business. For privacy enquiries, contact info@sparkleshinecleaning.uk or call 07359 383124.

2. Information we collect

Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for us to provide the service.

3. How we use information and our lawful bases

We do not currently send newsletters or promotional marketing messages. If that changes, we will update this notice and follow the applicable marketing rules.

4. Services and providers we use

We use ZenMaid for customer and booking management. Enquiries and communications may also be processed through Formspree (website forms), WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Google Workspace (business email and documents). Our website hosting provider may process technical connection information.

These providers process information under their own arrangements and, where relevant, on our behalf. Information may be stored or accessed outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for international transfers, we seek to rely on appropriate transfer arrangements. We do not sell customer information.

5. How long we keep information

We retain active customer records while needed to manage the relationship. We aim to review inactive customer records after three years and delete or anonymise information that is no longer needed. Some records may need to be kept longer for accounting, legal or dispute purposes.

Financial and tax records are retained for the applicable statutory period. Property access codes and similar details should be removed once they are no longer needed for the service.

6. Cookies and analytics

We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar marketing or visitor-tracking tools. Our website and third-party services may use strictly necessary technical features to deliver pages, process forms or maintain security. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this policy and implement any required consent controls before using them.

7. Keeping your information secure

We use reputable business systems and take reasonable steps to limit access to customer information to those who need it for the work. No online service is completely risk-free, but we aim to protect customer details and avoid sharing property access information unnecessarily.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, object to certain processing, or request data portability. You can contact us using the details above and we will respond in line with UK data protection law.

You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our systems, services or legal obligations change. The latest version will be available on this page.
